1. Section 1: Setup Instructions.

  Let's get started by following this guide.

2. Install through the Shopify App Store

Steps:

  1. Log in to the Shopify App Store.
  2. Find the ESTS Shipping Insurance app to install, and then click it.
  3. On the app listing page, click Add app.
  4. In your Shopify admin, to authorise the use of the app, click Install app.
  5. After that, a billing page will open. You have to purchase the plan first to open the app, and click on approve to purchase the plan.

3. After the app is installed, you can view and use it from the Apps page in your Shopify admin.

The ESTS Shipping Insurance app is to open. It will look like this.

You have completed the app Installation and setup process.

4. Section 2 User Guide.

  • Go to the ESTS Shipping Insurance app in your Shopify admin dashboard. Your app has now been opened. Now go to the "Settings" tab.

  • Within the "Settings" tab, you will find various customisation options:

    • a. Enable or disable the feature by selecting your preference.

    • b. You can give your Parcel Insurance a title in this text area.

    • c. Enter the cost of your Parcel Insurance in the provided Price field.

    • d. Choose/select an image that you want to upload for your Parcel Insurance product in the provided Select image field.

  • Once you have configured your settings as desired, simply click on the "Save" button.

5. Now, to activate your app on the front, you need to perform the following steps. This procedure is only for the first time when you install the app.

First, click on sales and channels.


6. Then click on the “Customise “ option as highlighted in the screenshot below.


7. Now, click on “Add block” and select the ESTS Parcel Insurance” as highlighted in the screenshot below.


8. Select the page type (cart), then click on the save button, to preview the effect on that page. Also, select the page type (checkout), the same as the cart page.


9. "Add Parcel Insurance":

Use this button to include insurance coverage for the items in your cart. Clicking on it will prompt you to select the desired coverage options and confirm the addition of Parcel Insurance to your purchase.

"Remove Parcel Insurance":

If you’ve added Parcel Insurance but changed your mind, use this button to remove the insurance coverage from your cart. Clicking on it will allow you to review and confirm the removal of the selected insurance from your items.
