ESTS Customer Field User Guide

App Name- ESTS Customer Field

This app was created by ESTS (Expound Soft Tech Solution). This app provides more options for fields at the time of customer registration. When customer register themself, at that time shopify provides limited field, i.e. user name, email ID, and password. But by using this app, you can set more fields with different types of input like checkboxes, radio buttons, and drop-downs. We will discuss each and every field with an example.

Let's get started by following this guide.

Install through the Shopify App Store

Steps:

  1. Log in to the Shopify App Store.
  2. Find the ESTS Customer Field app to install, and then click it.
  3. On the app listing page, click Add app.
  4. In your Shopify admin, to authorise the use of the app, click Install app.

After the app is installed, you can view and use it from the Apps page in your Shopify admin.

Open the app in Shopify.

Steps:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Settings.
  • Find and select Apps and sales channels.
  • Click the name of the app ESTS Customer Field to open.

As you click the name of the app, the ESTS Customer Field opens. It will look like this.

How to use the ESTS Customer Field app?

As you can see, there is now "no record found" because we have not yet created any forms. Our forms will appear here in tabular form as we construct them for the registration page.

Here you have three buttons named as follows.

  • Create Form - Using this option, a new registration form may be created. Later, we'll have a short discussion about it.
  • Show customers - This option displays a list of all of your store's customers.
  • User Guide - We recommend that you read this section completely before using this app so that you can learn more about it.

Let's see how to create a Form.

As you click on Create Form, the screen below will appear.

By default, any form you make will be saved as a "draft". After you finish creating it, you may change the status to "Active" at any moment to publish it live on the registration page.

Now, to create a Registration form, you need to follow just 4 steps. Kindly please follow the following 4 steps to create a Form.

  1. Set the form name- You can set any text in the form name; here we are taking "testname" as a form name, just for examplepformname
  2. Choose the input field- On click, the Add new option button, you can see different types of input fields like checkbox, radio button, drop-down and text-box.

    As you can see in below image ,Here we are taking checkbox for provide option of "Hobby" and then by click on Add Option we are giving 2 options i.e.,singing and dancing.

    Radio button:

    As you can see in below image ,Here we are taking Radio button for provide option of "Gender" and then by click on Add Option we are giving 2 options i.e., Male and Female.

    Drop-down:

    As you can see in below image ,Here we are taking Drop-down for provide option of "Country" and then by click on Add Option we are giving 2 options i.e., India and U.S.A

  3. Now change the form status from save as draft to Active. As we can see in below image.

  4. Now in the end click on Save Form button, As we can see in below image.

You have been successfully created your registration form.

Now you can also see it at the same place where you have found message that "no record found".As you create more forms you can see the list of forms here.As we can see in below image.

Here you can also see the status of your form, which form is active and which is saved as a draft.

How to delete or edit the existing form?

To delete the form, you can use the Delete button. As you click on the Delete button, the current form will be deleted.

Once a form is removed, it can no longer be recovered. Therefore, before deleting a form, you must ensure that it cannot be undone.

How to Edit the existing form ?

To edit the form field you can use the Edit button.As you click on Edit button, you can see like below screen.Below image is the form of image which we have recently created.

Here you can edit all kinds of fields. You can add more fields to the existing form. You can also remove any unwanted fields that were created at the time of form creation. You can also change the status of the form from draft to active or active to draft. And at last, click on the update button to save the changes.

How to apply the app to your current theme?

To apply the features to your current theme, you need to perform the following steps.

  1. Click on Online Store, as we have highlighted in the pic below.

  1. Now switch on the toggle button Ests-Registration_form as we have highlighted in the pic below.

  1. As you switch on the toggle button of Ests_Registration_form, the save button at the top-right corner will get active as we have displayed in the pic below.

  1. Before clicking on save, you can also preview the register page by selecting the register page from the highlighted drop-down option.

  1. Now you can check your new registration form on your registration page.
